Finding Yourself Through Purpose • Step 10 of 12

Three Tests of Character

Set aside 20–30 minutes. This worksheet invites honest self-reflection rather than perfect answers. You do not need to disclose private experiences to anyone else.

1. When Life Disappointed You

Recall a situation when something important did not go according to plan.

2. When Your Character Was Challenged

Recall a situation involving fear, anger, betrayal, criticism, or a difficult ethical choice.

3. When You Had an Opportunity to Contribute

Recall a moment when you could help someone, act honestly, or accept responsibility.

4. My Personal Conclusion

Complete this thought: When life tests me again, I want to become someone who… Describe the values and actions you want to practice.

Remember: Not every hardship is chosen, deserved, or within your control. The exercise is about finding constructive choices where choices remain possible.
